Portfolio Manager

Terrance P. McGuire

Sporting a lifelong fascination with baseball, brain-teasers and entrepreneurship, Terrance has never shied away from the intellectual challenge of trying to understand a complex system from the ground up. After a stint as a venture capital lawyer in Boston, he completed an MBA at Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration in 1998. Starting as an investment Analyst focusing on technology and leisure, Terrance worked his way to Senior Vice President at Capital Group.

Serving as Portfolio Counselor in The Growth Fund of America and the SMALLCAP World Fund, he drew on his experience covering several industries – cruise lines, gaming, hotels, semiconductors, the works. All this provoked his curiosity toward a more resilient, flexible and long-term view on investment strategy and financial planning.

In 2012, Terrance launched Dividend Growth Partners within Ridgewood Investments to provide what he felt was missing most in the high net-worth investment space:

  • a highly personalized approach to client interaction and financial planning
  • a disciplined, long-term investment strategy informed by the experience of managing funds through the last 25 years of market ups and downs
  • an opportunity to share his passion for dividends and compounding growth to help individuals, businesses and families build a lifetime of returns

These days, he splits his time between Southern California and his original home of New England. When he’s out of the office, you might find him enjoying a baseball game, an evening sail, or digging into the nitty-gritty, market-oriented podcast of his choice.

Terrance holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a JD from Harvard Law School, and a BA from University of California, Berkeley.
